University of San Diego

The University of San Diego (USD) is situated at the southern edge of California.

The university campus is spread over 180 acres on a scenic canyon which is easily navigable and pedestrian friendly.

The campus is built in the style of 16th century Spanish Renaissance.

University provides you a beautiful view of beaches, mountains and the Mexican Border can also be reached by a small drive.

The university is completely accredited by the Western Association of Colleges and Schools since 1956.

USD offers:
1. Undergraduate Programs: bachelor's degrees are awarded in 42 disciplines with about 50 minors.
2. Graduate Program: includes 39 master's degrees, three doctorates, the JD, five LLM degrees.

There are 400 full time members of the faculty, 475 part time and 875 total.

About 8,000 students are enrolled at any one time, including undergraduates, paralegal, law students and graduate students.

Each fall admission typically consists of 600 graduate students, 1100 freshmen, 400 transfers, and 300 law students.

There are 32% minority students and 6% international students studying in the university.

USD's alumni are living in all 50 states and 104 countries with 71% living in California.

In the residential part of the college, 97% of the freshmen choose to live there as do 45% of the graduate students.

The university provides 10 individual living areas with styles that range from shared rooms to apartments.

The college is a member of West Coast Conference and Pioneer Football League.

There are several recreation clubs and fitness classes.

The university have 23 types of sports club.

USD has 6 national fraternities and 8 national sororities.

Students are offered dining options and a full-service market.

The university is also recognized as a Community Engagement Institution by the Carnegie Foundation.

USD is also a member of Asoka's Changemaker Campus Consortium.

The university is ranked number 1 in the nation for undergraduates' study of abroad participation.

The university's catholic identity has a strong foundation in religious faith, ethical conduct and passionate in social justice.

The university provides a friendly atmosphere for faculty and students to interact with each other and strengthen their bond.
